Art of living & Art of entertaining
Bora Bora is... Bora Bora! An island at once modern and authentic, refined and relaxed, connected and preserved. Haere may - come - you are our guest...

Maeva, welcome.
Let me tell you what Bora Bora really is, the island where I was born, the island of which I have had the honour of being the tavana - the mayor - for more than 30 years, with the ultimate goal of leaving it untouched for future generations. Because to love Bora Bora, one must first understand it, admire it and pamper it.
The Pearl of the Pacific
Bora Bora, from its ancestral name Te motu tapu o ra (Created by the gods), is an island like no other, magical and sumptuous. An island rich in culture and traditions, where the gentle way of life and the art of receiving are cultivated, where transmission and sharing are orchestrated between generations, visitors and the population.
A preserved island
Preserved as much by its inhabitants as by its guests, Bora Bora is a sustainable and responsible island, where all actions are directed towards the preservation of the environment, where the economy is circular and solidarity-based, inclusive tourism, socially responsible investments?
Haere mai, come and see for yourself!
Gaston Tong Sang, Mayor of Bora Bora
societal harmony
The Art of Weaving Ties...

Indescribable link
between past and present
In the Polynesian tradition, to tie, to weave is to maintain this inexpressible link between past and present. It means weaving strong intergenerational and intercultural links with ancestors, between individuals and with newcomers, the cement of Polynesian society.
Harmony is born out of mixing
From its past as navigators, discoverers and conquerors of new lands, the population has kept habits of crossbreeding, mixing populations, cultures and influences, offering a lifestyle where the different components live in harmony.
Multisecular and intrinsic values
From the friendly pirogues that went ahead of the explorers to the current welcome of travellers, nothing has changed: hospitality, sharing, solidarity... are values that are centuries old and intrinsic to the population. Not to mention the joie de vivre, which is communicative!
way of life
Between land and sea, between exquisite warmth and the caress of the trade winds, we cultivate a gentle way of life, peace and serenity...
Back to basics...

The luxury of indolence
Temperatures of 23 to 30°C for the air and 26 to 29°C for the sea punctuated, depending on the season, by a beneficial rain or a small dynamic wind: welcome to Bora Bora, the island with an enchanting climate. Here one lives outside, indolent, blessing the elements.
A safe and secure environment
Free from disease and all dangers, known for the kindness of its inhabitants, Bora Bora offers an enchanting interlude in an ultra-healthy and safe environment. Breathe, you can let yourself go...
slow down
In this peaceful environment, slow down. Taste the sweetness of life, take the time to appreciate the simple and essential things... The race of the clouds, the game of the sun on the lagoon, the smiles, or just the passing of time.
sustainable & responsible island
In Bora Bora, sustainable development is not a fad. It is in its genes and has been part of major and innovative projects for more than 30 years...
"We don't inherit the land from our parents, we borrow it from our children"
All the actions carried out on Bora Bora, all the investments, are part of a harmonious and sustainable development in order to leave the island ever more beautiful as a legacy for future generations.
The Blue Flag Standard
Preserving and honouring the Earth and the Sea are the two founding pillars. Thanks to exemplary management of drinking water, wastewater and waste treatment, since 2000 Bora Bora has been awarded the Blue Flag for the excellent quality of its bathing water.
Sustainable development as DNA
At the forefront of sustainable development
Restricted marine areas, limited liner use, coral gardens, 1re global installation of SWAC (deep-sea cold water air conditioning), an ocean thermal energy project. The island is at the forefront of sustainable development.
