Entry formalities

Each traveller is advised to check the entry formalities (visa) according to his country of residence. No vaccination is necessary, except for yellow fever if you come from a country at risk. For Covid-19, a specific protocol has been put in place. A registration on the ETIS platform is compulsory.

Drinking water

Enjoy: Bora Bora is one of the few islands where the water is drinkable and of quality everywhere including on the motu. This has a cost, the resource is precious, travellers are invited to make a responsible use of it.

The local currency is the Pacific Franc (XPF or Fcfp) which only has a fixed parity with the euro (1€ = 119.33 Fcfp). International bank cards are accepted almost everywhere. Exchange transactions and withdrawals at the hotel and in the 3 banks of Vaitape (ATM/ATM 24h/24).

Security

Bora Bora is a safe island. The municipal police and the national gendarmerie ensure the security of goods and people 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, supported by a network of video-protection cameras in strategic points.

Health

Vaitape is home to a fire station, a medical centre, a dental centre and a pharmacy. Several private doctors also operate on the island and in case of emergency, medical evacuations by plane or helicopter are organized on Raiatea or Tahiti.
