Our recommended itinerary
8:00 am — Vaitape: Start at the Avis office. Grab a coffee at Saint-James restaurant or bakery before heading out.
8:30 am — Faanui : local hand painted sarongs : a small stop to make your own sarong and leave with some gifts.
10:00 am — Anau : Stop at the WWII American cannons. Stunning views over the lagoon and Mount Otemanu.
12:00 pm — Matira Beach: The island's only public beach. Perfect for a swim and picnic. Our Matira branch is right next door!
2:30 pm — Antenna (TV Tower) viewpoint at Amanahune : A 20-minute walk for a 360° view over the entire atoll. Not to be missed.
4:00 pm — Back to Vaitape: Stop at the mama stands at the handcraft market for local crafts.
