Occupants, renters and/or authorized driver of an Avis rental car are covered by third party liability in case of an accident. Physical damage and theft of the vehicle remain the customer’s responsibility within a maximum financial limit (excess)
For most frequent damage, reparations costs are listed on the vehicle information form. In this case, the amount of reparations will be charged directly. In case of disagreement or more significant damages, the amount of the excess will be charged waiting that insurances companies determine driver's responsibility.
In case the insurance company finds the driver not responsible for the accident, the excess will be refunded in full. In case the insurance company finds the driver responsible for the accident, you will be liable to pay for repairs needed for the vehicle within the limits of the maximum amount of the excess.
Option: SCDW, You have the option of signing up for the buy back of the excess. In this case, if there is an accident and the terms of the rental agreement have been met and respected, no deductible will be charged.
